I have always kicked around the idea of this site since the launch of the Xbox 360. Even I thought only a handful of games would be backwards compatible at launch of the Xbox 360 however a list circulated a week before launch proved my fears to be false. The list had 212 games that to be backwards compatible at launch of the Xbox 360. As we soon found out, many of the games worked very poorly. Many have been fixed through updates to the emulator however less than a quarter of the total Xbox games are even playable in any form and a few listed as backwards compatible still work poorly.

The Xbox official site maintains a list of the games that are backwards compatible. This list lists all the games that are backwards compatible with no regard to how well they actually work. This site was created to enable users to leave comments for their own gaming experiences for the respective game. On various forums, you will commonly find someone commenting about a handful of games however there is no one centralized user review site for Xbox 360 backwards compatibility. This site aims to fill that gap.

About the Author

My name is Alex Martinez and I live in San Antonio. [my life is boring so I will spare you the extra read]. I have had an Xbox and Xbox 360 since their launch dates and I have also had Xbox Live since its launch in Nov 2002. I am also a PC gamer and have been since the mid nineties. My time gaming on PCs has been in decline for years and the declining amount of interesting games coming out all but insures that my habits will continue.

Although few games have the ability to hold my attention for an extended length of time, I try to play most games even if it is for only half an hour. I probably spend more time playing games online than I do solo however I am far from the type who will only play multiplayer online games. I usually play with groups of people I know but once in a while I will join random games.

I will soon open a 'Thoughts of an Xbox owner' section where I will write about my thoughts regarding the Xbox. It will be critical and not just another uninspired blog like so many I come across on the web. I may talk about technical stuff but rest assured that I have a good understanding of the subjects I comment on. I will make my best effort not to hold any biases as I now think this is one of the biggest signs of intelligence not to mention validity of the writer.
